Management Change at MAICO Germany

Effective as from 1 January 2010, Norbert Böttcher, current Sales Manager for Germany and furthermore leading responsible for the Sales and Service Head Office in Dortmund since 1995, will follow in the position as Managing Director for MAICO Diagnostic GmbH. In addition to his new assignments, Norbert Böttcher will continue to manage the Sales and Service Head Office in Dortmund. He succeeds Wolfgang Köpke, who will resign from office after more than 38 years in the audiometer business.

 

At the same time, Andreas Kurzbuch, present Export Sales Manager in Berlin, has been appointed the position of Authorized Representative and Deputy Managing Director. 

 

Wolfgang Köpke, a former R&D Manager with Bosch Audiometer, assumed his position as Managing Director of MAICO Diagnostic GmbH in 1995 after the takeover by the William Demant Holding Group. Together with Norbert Böttcher, he has continually succeeded in making MAICO the most successful German company in the audiometer business. Marking the end of MAICO's most successful business year ever, Wolfgang Köpke will leave his position as Managing Director; however, we are pleased to announce that he will continue to support MAICO as a Senior Consultant.

 

One of Wolfgang Köpke´s biggest and most recent accomplishments was the implementation of the MB 11 BERAphone, the first and only automatic ABR screener on the world market, which does not require the use of adhesive electrodes. It is thanks to his constant commitment, that the MB 11 BERAphone enjoys great popularity today, which in turn has significantly contributed to MAICO´s current success.
